![]() The Polarisbloc Core Lab, for example, gives you more manual control over changing individual traits. ![]() There are a few different Rimworld mods to help you make changes to your pawns’ traits. Then again, once you’re cracking open a game’s save file to change things, all bets are pretty much off. Some players are resistant to the idea of using mods. Or you can simply delete the unwanted trait. All you have to do now is find a trait, change the text between to the new trait, and you are good to go. Įxamining this area will help you find, followed by a list of all that colonist’s traits. Within that section, you should see something like. Use Notepad++ to open the file for the name of the colonist whose traits you wish to change. And, of course, we recommend keeping a backup of the original save file just in case things go sideways for you. We recommend using Notepad ++ to do this. If you want to change a trait, and you don’t want to use a mod, then you’re going to need to edit your Rimworld save game file. If you really want to change traits in the game, all you need is a copy of Notepad++ and a little technical know-how. However, we’ve got some good news to go with the bad news. Short of using a mod (more on this later), there is absolutely no way you can change the traits while playing the game. There is no cheat code you can enter on the keyboard or setting you can toggle in the dev mode. The bad news, in this case, is that there is no way to change a pawn’s traits in “vanilla” Rimworld. I’m a big believer in getting the bad news out of the way first. The game doesn’t really give you any info about how to get started.įortunately, our guide on how to remove traits in Rimworld will help you get started right away! The Bad News Sometimes, though, you need to change a pawn’s traits. In short, the traits make a pawn who they really are. I think we were chatting about that on the Animal Husbandry thread at one point, I love the idea and cannibal is a nice option for loyalty-deprived colonists. What would you say really brings your pawns to life in Rimworld? The best answer for this is their traits.ĭifferent traits in the game can affect everything from a pawn’s speed and accuracy all the way to their personality. I think traits about nutritonal handicap like vegetarian/vegan, carnivorous and even (hardcore mode, please keep your children in leash) cannibal may be added to the current list. I must bow out to public opinion, but for the record I'm not a fan of that trait. With simple vector graphics, it's not so much a problem, and it could lead to interesting relationships evolutions with the witnessesīeastiality would be an.interesting trait indeed. I don't want to see Dave humping a muffalo.I, for one, would want to see that. Quote from: turnip on October 07, 2013, 07:27:20 PMAs far as Bestiality, there should probably be something in the options menu. Essentially the gist of what I'm saying is: don't add it just to add it. The issue I have isn't some ridiculous moral objection, quite the opposite it just doesn't add much to the game (even social interaction) that can't be introduced through other means. Haha speaking as an ancient history major there are so many things I'm tempted to nitpick in that comment, but leaving that aside I never expected anything other than a bland 2D sheet-ruffling animation (though by-the-by Mass Effect's scenes are hardly what I'd consider full-on lol). I don't want to see Dave humping a muffalo. ![]() Not including sex would be a mistake.Īs far as Bestiality, there should probably be something in the options menu. We don't need to see two cartoon characters having a full-on mass effect sex scene, a sims-esque bed ruffling would be fine. Adding sex into the game increases the realism and potential tension in the group. Conspiracies, plots, rivalries, betrayals, and friendships have been born of sex since bloody well Babylon. The game would be made more interesting with the involvement of sex. Haha kinda yeah, because they add something to the game beyond unnecessary realism.
